Welcome to the Museum,
Archaeological Institute of Kahsihara

This museum is an archaeological museum dedicated to exhibiting artifacts unearthed from sites in Nara Prefecture. Its mission is to educate the general public about the ancient Yamato culture and its importance in Japanese history.

Three exhibit rooms contain artifacts from the prehistoric to the medieval periods excavated in Nara Prefecture. These artifacts allow us to follow the formative process of ancient nations and inform us of the historical and cultural relationships between Yamato and the East Asian countries.
